We inform on some conclusions in view of the experience of restoration of cylinder liners of engines of group MAN KZ saved up during 5 years having cracks on a mirror of the cylinder. 1. It is expedient to deduce from operation of the liner with independent cooling clamp (manufacturing construction) at deterioration not exceeding 3mm as at further use the probability of occurrence of thermal cracks increases. Restriction of deterioration 3mm allows to make restoration of capacity of work of liners by influence on them thermoplastic deformation and banding. The resource of such liners differs from a resource of the new a little. As installation steel clamp the classical form excludes in the further occurrence of thermal cracks. 2. The liners having cracks in a weapon part, are restored thermoplastic deformation, installation of cast-iron insert for localization of cracks and banding. At occurrence in the cylinder of a supernumerary situation (water pouring in, refusals in system of cooling of the piston and etc.) the first becomes unfit for use is insert, then loss of capacity fof work of the cylinder-depend only at times. That is the resource of such liners before extraneous influence can be any long, after such influence capacity of work sharply falls also an operating time after elimination of refusal not exceeding on the average ***0h. However and in this situation the positive effect is, as insert being the natural indicator of refusal, warns its heavier consequences. And the most important - presence of such a rather inexpensive liners in an onboard stock-it a guarantee of continuous performance by a vessel of the basic function (it already repeatedly proved to be true in operation).
